Meet Katalin Reimann of Quantum Klinik in Wexford, PA

Welcome to another edition of ExactlyAtHome North of Pittsburgh. And today I have the privilege of speaking with Katalin Riemann, Owner of Quantum Klinik, right here in the center of Wexford on Perry Highway. So Katalin, tell me a little bit about your business and how you got started.

Katalin Reimann
Hello, everybody. David so kind and he asked me if he is pronouncing my name right.

Oh, how did I do?

Katalin Reimann
You did well. So, I did not have lived home in my real home country for over 40 years. So I am not failing in any way. If somebody says, “Katta-lyn”, “Kayta-leen”, or Kate or Cat and the real Hungarian pronunciation is “Caw-tah-LEEN”. Yes, but I’m taking at how actually it is Hungarian languages that is the hardest language the world and I feel very privileged. That actually is my mother language. I have to tell you the truth. So now I will be walking you through a little bit my my history and how it came to quantum clinic. So I studied 40 years ago, dermatology I had with 29 cancer. And I put aside, MD to study traditional Chinese medicine and after my surgery, I started healing myself while I’m still here, so it works.

Yes, well it did, and congratulations to you. That’s a battle in and of itself.

Katalin Reimann
Thank you and then when we came to the US, I could not have relicense in my field at this time because my English was not known. So I did not speak any English. And I mentioned to you and I would tell you the story why I’m here but it’s would be taking the whole interview so we are not going there right now. And I relicensed here in the skincare and I am a licensed Medical Aesthetician. We had owned with my husband a spa in downtown Pittsburgh for 10 years. My husband wanted to retire after 10 years. He’s an engineer and did not want to see woman all day anymore. He worked with me in the business and he said, “Honey, This is your baby. You run with it. I had a very small office at this time in downtown Pittsburgh in the William Penn Hotel actually and I was planning with my business coach, who said you have to come up north. So I came out whileI live actually in town in the city on the North Side. So it was hard to come out but I drove by here on Perry Highway and I actually looked up to this building I saw the empty room or empty windows I said this is my office. This was happened eight years ago and I am actually celebrating eight and a half years now in the Wexford area and I will be very honest, Wexford has tested me.

Well, people loving here and I’m sure they’re glad that you’re here now.

Katalin Reimann
We are glad that I’m here, yes. But I proved to Mr. Hosack who is the building owner. And I think I proved to Wexford that I know what I’m doing and everybody’s welcome here.

That’s great. Well I’ll tell you about being welcome. I came in the door. There’s this huge fish tank here. It’s gorgeous. And really nice colors and the place is as neat as a pin. I’ll tell you what, you instantly feel relaxed when you come through the door. So tell me why don’t we take a tour? I’ll get behind the camera. Okay. And you can you can tell us what you do here. All right?

Katalin Reimann
I would be happy to. This is the Relaxation Room or also we call it the detox room because it has Balancer Pro. It’s a European device made in Germany. It is here for help with your lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic system itself is very lazy system in our body and its needs circulation. So, it needs the help from our veins and arteries and capillaries and to remove all the toxins in the body. So it looks like literally only when you are in it, like a space suit in which you would go to the cosmos. You slide into the pants, and we slip you in, then the device starts to blow air around your body contour to build gentle pressure and start massaging you from your feet, all the way up to the, to the baseline to hitting your main lymphatic nodes and also obviously the kidney to help eliminate the toxins. And we have also if you choose the top part for the upper body if you have more issues. On the top part then we can have you are just laying here with the pressure helping with their main empathic nodes. So I my whole family’s health and well being and just growing up is surrounded by her knowledge and how was she approaching health naturally through well being and holistic health. So here we are in our outer beauty room. This is where the magic happens to look 20 years younger. I have a array of different devices which I accumulated during the past past 20 years of researching all over Europe, all over the World actually. One of the good things is that I speak three languages – it’s just not English. So I can research in German and I can search in Hungarian. This is a good thing. Yes. So a couple years ago, I was asked if I would be sharing my life story. Usually. I am very private. It’s really, really true that I am coming more and more out of my “blanket.” But, and this is not a whole complete book, I am working on a full blown book just about my life and how actually everything happened in my life or how I ended up here in the United States. This is a little like a “taster” about who I am and how I can help people with holistic, non invasive, non toxic ways to get a better life and better health. So this book is on Amazon, best selling book. And all the proceeds from this book are going towards an nonprofit organization I started last year actually during the pandemic. It’s called the Maria’s house. I do have an or house in Hungary still, it’s my childhood home, which I have given to orphanage where the kids can come. It’s on an old lake in Hungary called Lake Balaton. And so kids can come and have a wonderful vacation. They are there are 72 of them that are in the age of 10 and 18. And they are really, really on my heart. My mom was a kindergarten teacher and a principal for 35 years. So I am an only child and don’t have siblings. And so, yes, this is the book.
